My name is Sherrie and I participated at the NaNoWrMoOrg last year. It was such an awe-inspiring event that I had to participate again this year. My main worry has been that I don't have another 50,000 + words to put into a story. Last year, I wrote fast and free because I had the story in my head and wrote what I saw. But not this year...I've had to actually brain storm until I got an opening image in my head.

Ironically the image came from a blog I have where I write the opening lines to stories that I will never write. It's one of the few lines that have stuck with me, so I knew then it deserved to be used.

Last year, I had no real outline or plot development. It unfolded as I wrote and luckily it was a good story. But I won't take that chance again. So for the last week, I've been working out plot outlines and character profiles. And is this getting me primed to write my novel? You bet your bums!
